No Cristine this Christmas, says Ara Mina
MANILA, Philippines – Ara Mina is looking forward to spending Christmas with her family, excluding younger sister Cristine Reyes.
"Okay sana kung magkakasama-sama kami sa Pasko, pero pati brother ko inaway pa [ni Cristine]," the former sexy actress was quoted as saying on the showbiz-oriented talk show "Ang Latest." "Hindi namin kasama si Cristine sa Pasko."
In April this year, Mina filed charges of libel and grave coercion against Reyes before the Quezon City fiscal's office. The legal feud stems from an alleged dispute over the remaining balance for a house they bought for their mother.
Following news of Mina's filing of legal charges against Reyes, the "El Presidente" star apologized on live television to her older sister. Reyes also said she hopes to renew ties with Mina.
In subsequent interviews, Mina said she remains unmoved by the "insincere" apologies of her younger sister.
Last week, Reyes said she is hoping to spend Christmas with Mina. "Hindi po ako tumitigil sa pagri-reach out na maayos. My sister Heidi is communicating with her and she still doesn't want to talk to me. I think hindi pwedeng madaliin so huwag nating piliin," she said.
In her "Ang Latest" interview, Mina said Reyes is indeed "trying to reach out through my sister."
"But now, if she really wants to make peace, she knows where to reach me. Sana hindi lang career move lang lahat kay Cristine... This has been the longest fight we had and the worst. Sana magbago na siya," Mina added.
