A 32-year-old overseas Filipino worker is back home after enduring a year of physical abuse from her cruel employer in Dubai.

Francy Adurru could hardly talk and was obviously in pain when interviewed by ABS-CBN.

Reports said Adurru’s appearance no longer resembles the energetic woman shown on a picture before she left for Dubai.

Adurru’s frail body is still weak from the beatings she took from her employer. Her body also bore signs of the physical torment that she had to bear while in Dubai.

She said her employer burned her hair when she failed to pacify the child in her care. She was also choked and hit on her private part.

“Tinutuhod po ako ng ma’am ko,” she tearfully said.

There was also a time when her employer burned her hands on a stove as her punishment for failing to wash the dishes in just three minutes.

“Kinuha ang kamay ko iyun ang inilagay sa apoy,” she said.

Results of an x-ray also showed her broken teeth as a result of the blow she suffered from her employer.

The news team accompanied Adurru to the Department of Foreign Affairs to formally lodge a complaint.

According to the DFA, Adurru is just one of the more than 1,000 Filipinos repatriated after experiencing maltreatment from their employers.

“We will direct the consul-general natin to file the necessary complaint with the police authorities in Dubai,” said Crescente Relacion, executive director of the Office of the Migrant Workers Affairs.

The DFA is now waiting for Adurru’s medical examination before it recommends the case to the Philippine Overseas and Employment Administration to blacklist the employment agency and the employer who hired the victim. Zyann Ambrosio, TV Patrol World
