There we go again. The last time a singer changed the tune of our National Anthem during Pacquiao's fight there was so much brouhaha, then nothing happened. The same issue came up again in the Pacquiao-Clottey fight.

 

Will this be forgotten again because the singer is popular? Definitely we have laws that are like dogs that bark but never bite, at least for the rich and the famous. When can we expect respect for our National Anthem from these popular singers?

 

Padramatic tayo pero walang pakundangan sa simbolo ng ating bansa. Buti na lang di na nakikita ulit sa mga laban ni Pacquiao ang bandila natin na may larawan niya. Ipinagmamagaling natin ang mga mang-aawit na naging bantog sa ibang bansa pero di naman pala makakanta ng wasto ng ating pambansang awit. Hay buhay Pilipino.
