Fw: How did Sen. Villar go from rags to riches?
This what I am thinking. He said before he was just selling pineapples and this led him to be a millionaire today.
Kung isang tindero ka lang ng pinya kahit ilang daang taon pa ang lumipas di ka magiging milyonaryo. Kahit pa nga sabihin pang tapos ka ng kolehiyo.
In the Philippines one will not go from rags to riches if one will only indulge in honesty provided your family is originally rich or wealthy.
Sa Pilipinas puede kang yumaman pero dapat yung tinatawag na magulang ka sa lahat ng bagay. May raket ka at kung anu-ano pa.
On the C-5 road construction according to records presenting by Sen. Jamby Madrigal, Sen. Villar benefited by several hundred million of pesos when the government bought his land wherein the C-5 expansion would pass.
This is one example of becoming rich and this is one way of becoming a millionaire in the Philippines. If the government buys your property at a price more than the face value.
This is a form of corruption.
I don't believe Sen. Villar became wealthy by means by honest means.
Is there any of us who followed the life story of this lawmaker and how he became rich when in fact he was only selling pineapples before?
