It seems that the Pacman is really bent on pursuing a political career by running as a representative in a town in the South. He will surely win, but he won’t be happy. First, based on TV interviews as regards the girls around him, he is demanding privacy of his personal life. He won’t be happy because this is an impossible wish.

He’s forgetting that he is not only a public figure but a national treasure. On top of this, he wants to enter politics - a field which will make him vulnerable to all sorts of criticism and scandals where privacy is never respected. In politics, nothing he will do that the public will not know and will dig graves to know: his past, his family, his wife Jinkee, his “close” friends who are girls, his gambling, his health, his money, his showbiz, and of course his politics.

His decision to enter politics is therefore ill-advised. He won’t be happy. This early, Manny Pacquiao should throw in the towel before he gets seriously hurt. Retire for good or re-enter the boxing and fight his last fight against Mayweather. Then and there Manny will be happy and the Filipino will be happy with him.
