Statements from some politicians even says that gays are well represented already in congress since there are many gays their already... and gays don't need Ladlad to fight for the rights of gays and lesbians. But can they name them? Of course they would not! For that alone, how then can they help gays and lesbians if they themselves could not be proud of who they really are? How can they fight for justice and equality for gay men and women if they themselves couldn't accept who they are?

 

I do agree that many gay men are in public office.

 

Comelec even cited the Koran (Muslim Bibble) that condemns homosexual practices. I do believe that separation of state and church should have been observe here. You can't simply quote a biblical verse for the law. It's two different things.

 

And how can Comelec says gays or being gay is immoral? If indeed immorality is the issue, can we still have candidates for the next election? For sure almost all who will file their candidacy will be rejected... That is being judgemental! And the Comelec is not I think the right agency to tell us what is immoral and not! They should ask themselves that!

 

We had a self confessed womanizer as president, we have now a cheating and corrupt president. Now Comelec, WHAT IS MORALITY TO YOU?
