Political corruption prospers in the Philippines because it is one problem that is not addressed but kicked down the road.

At the rate politicians switch parties it’s like they were changing socks, the political scene looks like a Rigodon de Honor. Only there is no honor involved here. These politicians change party line for selfish interest and political survival. Parties are supposed to be institutions bound by philosophies, principles, ethics and common goals by those who chose to embrace them.

Heeey! Manny, wake-up!

May I suggest that the SWS make a survey of opinion of the entire staff of the ABS-CBN network on vice-presidential candidate Loren Legarda. Before she became a senator, Legarda had spent a good deal of her professional life as broadcaster of this giant network.

Aling Gloria's resignation from Lakas-Kampi CMD was a ploy in order to boost the chances of Gibo-Edu tandem in 2010. At least Aling Gloria is aware that her inclusion in that party will further worsen the standing of Gibo in any poll survey and for sure on election day. But plenty of Filipinos know Aling Gloria's step was just a political trick.

Comelec's discrimination is clearly manifested in its decision in disqualifying Ladlad from participating in the partylist. The Comelec singled out Ladlad. Ladlad’s case number is 208. If there was no discrimination, why is it that there are still a lot of partylist applicants before Ladlad who up to now has not yet been decided by the Comelec?

The Comelec says that the party is actually over represented both in the lower and upper house, but these persons (although not named) that they say over representing the party are not actually fighting for the principles that The Ladlad fights for.
