The Commission on Audit on Friday released a special audit report on the amount of pork barrel allocations and related funds that lawmakers got from 2007 to 2009.
Former Compostela Valley Congressman and now Vice-Governor Manuel "Way Kurat" Zamora topped the list with over P3 billion, followed by then Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile (P904.5 million), Senators Juan Edgardo Angara (P862.645 million), Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. (P853 million) and Jinggoy Estrada (P825.150 million).
Here is the list, visualized through IBM's Many Eyes.
The first interactive data visualization is a bubble chart, with the size of the circles corresponding to the amount in millions of pesos that the lawmakers received as Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) and and Various Infrastructures including Local Projects (VILP).
To see the exact value of the money received by lawmakers, move your mouse over the chart or click the circles. You can also change the type of fund by using the menu at the bottom of the chart.
The second interactive visualization shows how much the lawmakers got, divided into categories.
A lawmaker is represented by a rectangle. The rectangles have different sizes, with the area and intensity of color proportional to amount of money they got.
Change the information format you want to see by using the menu at the bottom of the chart.
You can also look for specific lawmakers using the search box in the chart.
