LONDON, England - The late Congressman Ignacio "Iggy" Arroyo's second wife, Aleli, has arrived in London to claim the remains of her estranged husband.
In an interview with ABS-CBN Europe News Bureau, Aleli said she will claim the remains of Iggy and will bring the body to the Philippines.
Aleli said a wake will be held at their home in La Vista.
There will also be a night of wake in Congress, after which the remains will be brought to Negros Occidental.
The body will then be brought back to Manila, where a 2-night wake will be held at the home of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and her husband Mike, also in La Vista.
Aleli said all camps have already agreed with the arrangement.
She said she may ask for an official statement from the hospital where Iggy died.
Aleli, who is with her lawyer, also met Philippine embassy officials in London, Consul Manny Guzman and Rico Garcia.
