Pinoy nabbed in group burglaries, drug bust in Guam
REDWOOD CITY, California – At least one Filipino was among a group arrested in Guam for breaking and entering, burglary, and illegal drug possession.
According to the Guam Police Department, a group of men and women including Leo Cruz Santiago — who was identified as Filipino — are allegedly involved in burglaries and theft cases.
Two brothers, Joshua John Pangelinan and Jathan Pangelinan, were arrested together with their stepfather, and were charged with burglary and car theft.
The magistrate reported that the Pangelinans stole six firearms and 200 rounds of ammunition from a home on Yigo Street.
After further investigation, Santiago, the Filipino national, was arrested for fraudulent use of a license plate.
Bryan Ray Borja Bautista was also arrested for illegal drug possession and possession of firearms without valid firearms ID card.
Nellie Topasna Penaflor and Alan Philip Santos were also arrested for possession of a controlled substance and for destroying evidence.
Authorities said the case remains under investigation.
