Witnesses sought in case of Fil-Am hit-and-run victim
MARYLAND - A Filipina has been a victim of a hit-and-run in Wheaton, Maryland and authorities are asking witnesses to come forward to help them arrest the driver.
Marilyn Eres Ali, 53, was killed in a hit and run accident while crossing Connecticut Ave and Randolph Ave in Wheaton, Maryland. This tragic accident happened just a few weeks after she took her oath as an American citizen.
A native of Davao in the Philippines, Marilyn was working as a nanny for a 3-year-old child in Maryland when the accident happened. She is survived by her son, Reonimar Eres Salibay.
Investigators are urging anyone with information regarding the accident and the driver who was reported to have fled the scene to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240- 773-6620.
