MANILA – One of the overseas Filipino workers who revealed the sex-for-flight scheme in Saudi Arabia is once again appealing for help after she discovered she has cancer.

"Analisa", not her real name, is confined in a hospital in Manila. She had an operation last March 6. The initial findings, she said, was myoma (a benign tumor composed of muscle tissue).

"Kahapon po follow-up check-up ko po at sinabi po ng doctor na mahabang gamutan. Doon po ako nanlambot, nalaman ko po sa doctor ko na yun pong tinanggal sa akin na inopera e nalaman sa biopsy yung resulta na cancer daw po," Analisa said in a phone interview with DZMM on Friday morning.

Due to the findings, Analisa would need to undergo chemotherapy as one of her treatments.

Analisa had accused then Riyadh Assistant Labor Attache Antonio Villafuerte of making lewd advances at her when she sought help after escaping from her abusive employer.

Analisa, and another victim named "Angel". sought the help of former jueteng whistleblower Sandra Cam.

Cam is assisting them in their legal battle against Villafuerte before the Department of Justice. It was also Cam who helped Analisa transfer to a Manila hospital for her operation.

"Kaya kailangan ko daw po magpa-chemo. Kaya nga po kung meron pong may Sandra Cam na tumulong sa akin sa pag opera at mag refer sa akin sa ospital, sana po meron pong pangatlong Ma'am Sandra na tutulong sa akin sa mahabang gamutan ko po," said Analisa.

Last Monday, Analisa said they made an extra effort to appear before the DOJ hearing against Villafuerte to prevent their case from being dismissed.

"Idi-dismiss na po dapat nung [March] 10 kaya dinala ako ni Ma'am Sandra para ipakita na lalaban kami," she said.

She said she failed to attend some hearings prior to her operation due to lack of funds.

"Kasi ako lang po ang inaasahan ng pamilya ko," said the mother of two from Nueva Ecija. Her children want to visit her in the hospital too but she has no money to pay for their transportation from the province.

"Gusto po nila ako makita wala naman akong pambigay na pera," she said.

She made an appeal to kindhearted kababayans to help her with her medical treatment.

"Gusto ko pa pong mabuhay para sa mga anak ko. Ako lang po inaasahan," she said.
