Pinoy designer Furne One caps off Fashion Forward Dubai
DUBAI – The creations of renowned Filipino designer Furne One, owner of the Amato Haute Couture, graced the catwalk at the successful finale show of Fashion Forward Dubai.
"For this collection, I used a lot of dentelles, the colors are very bright, jeweled, very Arabic, very India, very Persia. Considering its very Asian influence, it's very elaborate," he said.
The multi-awarded fashion Dubai-based designer worked for five months to finish his creation showcased at the fashion show.
He also made sure that the clothes showed off by models for the Amato House were perfect.
"It's based on Alexander the Great when he conquered India, Persia and he went to Egypt, the whole of Asia Minor. I did a research about Persia, about India… all the colors, the embellishment, the music and the art," he said.
Furne One's collection on the catwalk received a standing ovation from guests.
"The imagination, the dream, it was just outrageously, incredibly beautiful, powerful. I love it! I love every piece of it," said Samantha Wong, a guest at the Fashion Forward Dubai.
Another guest, Petra Albertini added, "He's one of the biggest designers in the region. He developed. He's continuously developing his style. He is like creating something new every time. It's absolutely amazing."
For his part, Furne One expressed his gratitude to those who continuously support his work.
"Oh my God! It's very overwhelming for me. I cannot express my feelings because for me, it's like they really understand and feel my world," he said.
Just last month, Furne One was hailed as "Best Local Designer" in Dubai by the Arabian Business Lifestyle Magazine.
Katy Perry, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Nikki Minaj were just among Furne One's famous celebrity clients. Report from Majah Moralde, ABS-CBN Middle East News Bureau
