Fil-Am faces murder rap in drug deal gone bad
LAS VEGAS- A 22-year-old Filipino-American allegedly killed a man in a drug deal gone bad in Las Vegas.
Jonathan Perez faces charges of first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by an ex-felon, and discharge of a gun within a structure or vehicle.
Las Vegas Metro police say that the incident took place on April 21 near an intersection. Multiple shots were reportedly fired.
Police found a man identified as Jason Puckett on the ground of a parking lot. Puckett was later pronounced dead at the University Medical Center.
Perez had a prior conviction in May 2011 of attempted murder and carrying a concealed weapon.
