MANILA, Philippines - The families of three Filipinos working in Saudi Arabia are asking President Benigno Aquino III to help them in their appeal to reverse the death sentences meted out by the courts.

The three overseas workers, Paul Miquiabas, Victorino Gaspar Jr. and Edgardo Genetiano, are accused of killing another Filipino, Rey Dimaculangan.

Dimaculangan was stabbed several times and found dead at his company's accommodation on April 15,2008

The Saudi courts issued the ruling on June 5.

Eva Miquiabas, the wife of Paul said his husband is innocent.

"Hindi niya po talaga magagawa yan. Pumunta siya sa Saudi para guminhawa."

Paul also maintained his innocence.

"Eh ako po ay nanawagan sa mahal nating pangulo na sana tulungan kami dahil hirap na ho talaga kami dito eh," Paul said, his voice breaking, in an interview with ABS-CBN Middle East bureau.

Gaspar said he hopes Aquino will help them return to the Philippines, where his and the families of the two others accused, are waiting.

"Wala kaming alam, wala kaming kasalanan. Bakit kami nandito?," Genetiano said.

Miquiabas' spouse Eva, said all she wants is for husband to come home.

"Sana po President Noynoy (Aquino) matulungan mo po kami para makauwi ang aking asawa kahit walang pera."

An appeal has already been submitted to authorities in Saudi Arabia to reverse the death sentences. - based on a report of Dindo Amparo, ABS-CBN News, Middle East
