MANILA, Philippines – Noontime TV show co-host and comedienne Pokwang left Manila to host an event for overseas Filipino workers based in London.

Pokwang will host the annual Barrio Fiesta event at the Lampton Park in Hounslow on July 18.

Filipino migrant workers have a special place in Pokwang’s heart as she too once worked abroad.

Joining the versatile comedienne are Kapamilya stars and popular Pinoy Big Brother tandem Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco and comeback drama king Gabby Concepcion of the TV drama series “Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo”.

Cantiveros and Francisco, also known as “Melason”, are real-life sweethearts. The duo is expected to bring their signature comic flair to the event.

Concepcion also looks forward to performing for kababayans who have been away from home a long time. He is also one of the hosts of the event in London.

Multi-talented performer Vina Morales, who also appears as the devoted mother in Agua Bendita, is also scheduled to perform at the Fiesta on July 17.
