LAS VEGAS – It's Showtime host Jhong Hilario hoped that the Philippine government will support talented Pinoys who represent the country in international competitions.

"Talent ito. Ito yung dapat na ipagmalaki natin imbes na kung anong mga corruption ito ang dapat na ipagmalaki natin na talagang buong mundo hinahangaan ang Pilipinas since na magsimula ang Hip Hop International Philippines. Sana po sa ating gobyerno, please, please wag po nating sayangin talent ng Pinoy," Hilario said.

Hilario came to support Team Pilipinas in this year's World Hip-hop International held recently in Las Vegas.

The Philippines' A-Team Megacrew bagged this year's gold medal besting more than 250 dance crews from all over the world.

More than 40 countries battled for the gold medal at the 2014 World Hip Hop Dance Championship which is often referred as the Olympics of hip-hop dance.

Hip-hop dancers from Australia, Canada, United States and Guam are predominantly of Filipino descent.

"It feels amazing and being able to represent the country and being able to get gold it really means a lot for the team,” the group said.

Every year, team Philippines is one of the most eye-catching and has one of the most anticipated routines in the world of hip hop.

In a 4 minute routine, A-Team wowed the audience in an exhilarating, synchronized and well executed dance number.

"It feels great to give honor to the country, sobrang we feel so honored to be here and we just want to make each and every Filipino proud,” they added.

The Philippines grabbed gold while New Zealand bagged silver and Russia takes home the bronze.

Meanwhile in the adult division, Team Romanco made it to the finals but didn't place for a medal this year.

Amid budget shortage, they are both thankful they were still able to make it in this year's competition.

Organizers of World Hip-Hop International confirm that next year's competition will take place in Valley Center, California, near San Diego.
