Japan invites Pinoy students for youth exchange program
MANILA, Philippines - Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs is continuing its youth exchange program in the Philippines with the extension of the JENESYS 2.0 program.
The 4th JENESYS 2.0 this year, organized by the Japan Information and Culture Center of the Embassy of Japan and the Japan International Cooperation Center, will focus on Japanese pop culture.
In cooperation with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts of the Philippines and the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the program will be sending 18 Filipino students, aged 18-30 years old, for an all expenses paid 2-week cultural immersion to Japan.
A total of 232 university students will be invited to Japan through the program, in an effort to promote better understanding for Japan's pop culture among the youth of Asian and Oceanian countries.
During their stay, from September 30 to October 9, students will be divided into three areas --animation, fashion and entertainment.
Interested applicants can visit the Embassy of Japan website, www.ph.emb-japan.go.jp, for qualification, guidelines and application forms.
Deadline for application is on August 30, 2013.
