VANCOUVER, Canada - Filipinos in Canada found another reason to gather over the weekend through the Hataw Pinoy Philippine Festival at the Richmond Olympic Oval in British Columbia.

Kababayans were treated to 2 days of fun, fellowship, food and activities.

“Maganda yung mga events na ganito para makilala naman nila ang Filipino culture,” a Pinay said.

“Sa pamamagitan ng ganitong mga okasyon, makikita mo yung pagmamahalan ng bawat Pilipino,” another Pinay said.

Singers Joey Albert, Rey Ann Fuentes and Fe Delos Reyes performed along with local talent groups within the community.

Major sponsors also raffled off big prizes for kababayans who attended the free event organized by the Filipino Canadian Cultural Heritage of BC. Marieton Pacheco, ABS-CBN North America News Bureau
