Pinoy suspect in Calif. killing spree shot dead

REDWOOD City, California – Police on Tuesday night gunned down a Filipino man believed to have killed 4 other Pinoys in California.

California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers shot and killed murder suspect Efren Valdemoro, 38, during a car chase that ended at the Ranch 99 market in Richmond.

CHP officers also found an unidentified woman, believed to be Valdemoro’s girlfriend, dead inside his vehicle.

ABC7 (http://abclocal.go.com) reported that Valdemoro could also be behind the killings of 2 missing Filipino women, Macaria Smart, 60, and Segundina Allen, 67, whose bodies were found in a Vallejo home. The 2 were reported missing for a week.

He was also tagged in the killing of yet another Filipino, Ricardo Sales, 73, who was found beaten to death inside his Hercules home.

Sales’ 35-year-old son, Frederick, is missing as well. He disappeared after his father was murdered.

Police tagged Valdemoro in the Vallejo and Hercules killings after a Cadillac Escalade, owned by one of the 2 women, was also seen at the crime scene in Hercules. Balitang America
