AL-KHOBAR, Saudi Arabia – Rodelio "Dondon" Lanuza was overjoyed after learning that his passport now bears an exit visa, which means that he would really be coming home very soon.

"Unang-una, masayang-masaya at the same time medyo parang kinakabahan na humarap sa panibagong buhay. Lamang yung saya, makakasama ko na ang akin mahal sa buhay," Lanuza said in a phone interview with ABS-CBN Middle East from his jail cell.

Lanuza could not hide his excitement about his homecoming. While he expressed his utmost gratitude to those who helped him in his case, the pardoned OFW is now looking forward to a new beginning in the Philippines.

Even his cousin here in Saudi Arabia, Benito Celestino, is happy about Lanuza's return home.

If all goes well, Lanuza is expected to board a plane to Manila tonight and will be arriving in the Philippines Thursday afternoon.
