Pinoys warned vs fake visa facilitators in UAE
MANILA – Filipinos in Abu Dhabi are urged to report activities of individuals or groups who claim to have connections with the Philippine Embassy in facilitating visas for Pinoys wanting to enter the United Arab Emirates.
The embassy clarified that it is not linked with any travel agency or facilitators of visas, as well as with any person or company claiming to facilitate services for the execution of the Affidavit of Support and Guarantee (ASG).
"The personal appearance of the applicant at the Embassy or the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai is required before an ASG could be issued. ASGs provided by travel agencies or private persons are fake. The unauthorized issuance of these affidavits is illegal under Philippine and UAE laws," the embassy said.
The embassy in Abu Dhabi has expedited the release of ASG from five to three working days to better serve the Filipino community.
"We urge our countrymen to report such activities to the Embassy or Consulate General," it stated.
