BEIRUT, LEBANON – Overseas Filipino workers Realyn Caritativo and Garry Paren are lucky to be in love in Beirut.
The two have a lot to thank for as their employers shouldered almost all of the expenses of their wedding day.
“Wala kaming masabi sa kanila dahil super bait,” said Garry.
Realyn is a domestic worker in Beirut while Garry was hired to take care of his employers' dogs and other pets.
Garry had been with his employers for 6 years before they decided to take in Realyn last December.
“Laging tumatakas si Garry ng dahil sa akin, binibisita niya ako sa apartment. So nag-decide yung amo ni Garry na kunin na lang ako sa kanila,” said Realyn.
As witness to the couple’s love for each other, their employer encouraged them to tie the knot to make their relationship more official.
“Well, they're obviously very much in love. Well, it is more correct that they got married, don't you agree? And we decided that they should get married and they agreed," said Elaine Abizaid.
Their employer paid for their wedding clothes, venue and even the expenses at the reception.
“Maraming salamat sa amo namin,” said Realyn. Rhyse Furio, ABS-CBN Middle East News Bureau
