DAMMAN, Saudi Arabia – The tallest man in the world recently visited students of a Filipino international school in Damman.

Filipino students of the Al Jazeera International School in Damman were excited to see Aejaz Ahmed.

“Lahat po kami excited at natutuwa kasi nagawa po niya kaming bisitahin. Nung pumunta po siya dito, lahat po ng estudyante excited po kasi minsan lang po namin siya makikilala, makikita,” said student Perryl Bon Mendoza.

The 8’4” native of Pakistan is the official tallest man in the world. Ahmed is taller than Sultan Kosen of Turkey, the Guinness Book of World Records' tallest man at 8’2”.

“I really felt bad because of the abnormality that he has. But I am really happy for him because he can still smile," said another student, Dianne Cunanan.

Students and even teachers paid the 10 Riyals to have a picture taken with the tallest man.

Ahmed visited the school to raise funds for the operation of his right foot, which was fractured during a car accident 5 years ago. Florante Catanus, ABS-CBN Middle East News Bureau
