Another Filipino was there when authorities were retrieving the body. He said the drainage system was located under the basement stairs.

Nakasando lang po siya ng puti at naka long pants na kulay asul-violet,” the Filipino man identified as Richard said.

Richard added that authorities stayed at the OFW’s employer house for about two hours to investigate the incident.

Hidalgo’s body was brought tot the Forensic Department to undergo autopsy.

Meanwhile, Molina Hidalgo, the OFW’s mother, could not believe that she would commit suicide. She last spoke to her daughter on November 26. She added that her daughter sent home money, called them up and even texted them.

In a translation she said, “Sabi niya, Ma, last text ko na itong text na ito, kung ano man ang mangyari, love you all”.

The OFW is the eldest among six siblings and the family’s breadwinner. She is survived by her eight-year-old daughter.

ABS-CBN Middle East tried to get an update from the embassy regarding Hidalgo’s case.
