Two officers hurt in Michelle Obama motorcade crash
CHICAGO - Two officers in First Lady Michelle Obama's motorcade were injured Monday after their motorcycles collided, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
"The First Lady's motorcade was leaving the city of Delaware where she was giving a speech," Lieutenant D.J. Smith told AFP.
"They were heading back to Interstate 71 and the airport when two of the motorcycles -- one was State Highway Patrol and one was from Genoa township -- made contact."
Both officers were taken to hospital for treatment, but the crash was not severe enough to interfere with the motorcade's progress.
The state trooper suffered minor injuries. Smith did not have the details on the other officer's condition, but said he was told it wasn't life threatening.
