When summer comes along Sports Unlimited needs almost more than
two hands to count the number of trips we take to the undisputed
party beach in the Philippines: Boracay.
There
is just no stopping this island when it comes to fun and action
in the summertime. And there's no stopping us either from being
in Bora, so get into the chill, beach mode with Sports Unlimited
now.
In
our last episode, the first part of "The Forever Summer Campaign"
was held in Boracay.
The
mayor of the island, Mayor Dong Cawaling, invited the top models,
designers, directors, writers, actors and hard-core Boracay believers
to be part of one of the biggest and toughest races this island
has ever seen.
The celebrities were divided into six teams to compete in a "Modelympics."
Each team started by racing with their feet tied together to a pole
where they had to dig for a map of the island that lead them to
12 different resorts located from Station 1 all the way to Station
3.
It
did not matter which resort you went to first, the rule being, however,
that there was no other way the team was allowed to get to and from
resorts except on foot.
Imagine
sexy models running around the island in their bikinis and board
shorts. That is why the island was buzzing while the heat was scorching.
The
tasks were not very difficult to start with but the catch was that
the teams could not start any task until all members of the team
reached the resort.
After about six tasks, I felt our team; the White Team, was doing
well and doing good time. Of course we never underestimated Marc
Nelson's Blue Team. Marc always has a way of pumping up his teammates.
All right, on to Part 2 of the show and our next set of tasks.

Sports
Unlimited has been on a lot of yachts over the years and the M/S
Vianelle is right up there with the best of them.
Just
seeing the yacht from the shore, getting on the dingy to get to
the yacht, you already knew this was going to be a fabulous way
to sail around Boracay.
Meeting the owner Arne and his capitan, Marcello, you quickly realize
why this yacht has so much flair to it.
This yacht exudes nothing but the personalities of the people who
run it. Arne and Marcello and their hardworking crew have a great
love for the sea and probably a passion for sailing just as big
as the oceans they sail across.
The
enjoyment we felt on such a short time on the M/S Vianelle with
just a small group of friends made Arne invite us back on a longer
trip that would take us wherever the wind blew from morning to when
the sun sets on the island.
He
promised we could enjoy and play with all the amenities this fabulous
yacht comes with.
Watch
out for this show before the summer ends.
Or
better yet, friends of Sports Unlimited, if you happen to see the
M/S Vianelle on the island, go and check if we're on it. If we are,
be our guest and hop on.
