It’s the most famous stretch of white-sand beach in the Philippines, Boracay. In the peak In this episode, the beach front is transformed into a celebrity-hood where actors, models and popular personalities took a break from the cameras, runways and formal events. These celebs suited up in bikinis and board shorts while getting sweaty and sandy all in the name of summer fun in the sun.

Here’s a general breakdown of an itinerary for a Boracay summer beach event: great fun under the sun, happy times when the sun sets, when the sun sleeps, party all night and when the sun rises, everything starts all over again.

You can always expect some kind of twist when it comes to the activities and events held in Bora. At the Cuervo Nation event, guests got to try wakeboarding. The sport of wakeboarding has officially become portable. Isn’t technology a trip? With the wonderful wakeboarding machine, you can now wakeboard anywhere you see water.

Of course there are regularly seen games at the beachfront. Dodge ball always causes some kind of a stir when played, or when watched. Fun with water does not necessarily have to be in the water. Marc and his regular Boracay beach buddies found a way to have fun no matter what they are doing. Let boys be boys on the beach.

My partner Marc only has one body, so he had to keep jumping around from one event to the other on the beach. In the Century Tuna Celebration, they had a jousting challenge. A medieval type of sport on the beach. Why not? Like they say, whatever floats your boat.

I just have to say; whoever drummed up this game in their head gets an “A” for being imaginative. And let me also add that the celebrities playing the game get an “A” too for effort. This was by no means easy.

The goal of the game was not to get intimidated and allow o get pushed around too much. You fall off the bench, you’re out. No second chances. The yellow team won this jousting challenge.

The next challenge was a relay race. But it’s not just a relay race. It’s a super bod’s race. Does this mean you need a super body to win? Not exactly. The team needed super bods that can get through tires, crawl under the net, run for your life, and kayak like there’s a shark behind you. You get the idea? Do everything as fast as you can.

Here are the rules:
1) six members to a team
2) 3 guys and 3 girls.
3) The team that finishes all the legs of the relay with the fastest time wins.

Regular rules, but not a very regular race.

In crossing the tires, quick footwork and coordination is the key. There were different strategies taken in crossing the tires, some decided to slow down their pace to get more accuracy to avoid tumbling down.

Some just went for it. Cross quickly as they can, and if they fell, get back up as fast as they can and continue to move forward.

Caution though, if you skip stepping into any of the tires, you get some penalty added to your total time at the end of the race.

When crawling under the net, there’s really one thing you want to focus on. Getting down as low as you can so you don’t get tangled up in the net.

Long and strong legs were also needed in the running part of the race. Resistance was also important.

Running on the sand was a part of the race. It was a killer on the calves.

For the kayaking, it was no secret that they needed super bods with tough triceps. Marc’s white team got in a serious jam. Phoemela (Baranda) got injured kayaking. The bad news it made them slow down their team’s total time considerably.

Phoemela got a helping hand from the hunks so not all is bad news.

As predicted, Marc’s white team was considerably slower than the red and the white teams. However, the red and yellow teams had penalties during the race which meant that the time was added to Marc’s group.

In the end though, like any other competition, the team that wants to win bad enough took home the top prize.

Events like this give you a glimpse of a different side of celebrities. No acting or modeling here. It’s about the drive to push yourself to the limit. It’s about the heart to never give up. It’s about keeping the edge of competitiveness. It’s about downright determination. It’s about taking on a winning attitude.

Props to the yellow team for being the over-all winners.

From being in so many of the events held on this island, we’ve come to see that the heart and soul of every beach party is the passion for playfulness and partying. Thank you Boracay for another terrific time this summer.
