San Beda buries Perpetual, 72-55

Nigerian Sam Ekwe continued to parade his jump shooting accuracy as back-to-back champion San Beda waylaid Perpetual Help, 72-55, Monday to regain its bearings in Season 84 of the NCAA basketball tournament at the Cuneta Astrodome.

The 6'9" Ekwe, the 2006 MVP who appears on his way to another one this year, buried most of his medium-ranged jumpers to finish with a game-high 19 points he spiked with 13 rebounds for his eighth double-double effort of the season.
