MANILA, Philippines - Filipino-Canadian YouTube sensation Mikey Bustos is one of the lead stars of "Prison Dancer," a web musical inspired by the famous dancing inmates of Cebu.

The 12-episode web series is described on its official website as "Glee meets Miss Saigon wrapped in Choose Your Own Adventure," and will feature "catchy pop tunes, star-crossed lovers and engaging elements."

It will be launched this March.

Bustos is one of the finalists in the first season of "Canadian Idol." He became known for his so-called Filipino accent tutorials on YouTube.

Aside from Bustos, other members of the cast include Jeigh Madjus, a finalist on reality show "Popstars: Boy Meets Girl;" Catherine Ricafort, who is currently appearing on Broadway as Ali in "Mamma Mia!;" Canadian television personality Matt Wells; and theater actor Nicco Lorenzo.

Prisoners from the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center became famous for dancing to Michael Jackson tunes. Dressed in tangerine jumpsuits, they became an Internet hit after performing the zombie dance from Jackson's "Thriller" video.

Last year, character actor Thou Reyes said "Indak," an indie film inspired by the Cebu dancing inmates, will hit theaters soon.
