MANILA, Philippines -- Filipino-American Disney star Anna Maria Perez de Tagle will perform at the country's newest concert venue in Makati next week.

De Tagle, a recurring cast member of the defunct hit Disney series "Hannah Montana" and the lead star of musical films such as "Fame" and the two-part "Camp Rock," will be part of the launch of Circuit, a 21-hectare entertainment hub at the heart of Makati's retail and business districts.

A highlight of the new development of the local property giant Ayala Land Inc. is a two-hectare open grounds area that can accommodate up to 20,000 people.

"We are starting off with our January 15 grand launch where we will have 80 Filipino artists including Anna Maria Perez de Tagle," Meann Dy, strategic landbank management group head of Ayala Land, told reporters on Wednesday. She did not mention the rest of the artists featured in the show.

Dy, however, shared the other events lined up for Circuit this year, such as Makati's version of the Mardi Gras festival and a concert for the benefit of the Heroes Foundation next month, and two shows featuring international artists.

"We are currently in negotiations so watch out for it," she said.

Formerly the Sta. Ana race track, Circuit is a 20-year project that will also feature a 1,500-seater performing arts theater, an interactive walk, 45,000 square meters of retail areas, a "warehouse community" featuring art galleries, accessory shops and food trucks, hotels, offices and residential developments.
