'The Killers' cancels Manila show

Ticket buyers can get refunds
MANILA, Philippines - Alternative rock band "The Killers" have canceled their show in Manila set for January 31.
In a statement on their official website the band announced on Friday that they "have been forced to cancel their appearances in Singapore, Beijing, Hong Kong, Manila, Tokyo and Seoul due to unforeseen circumstances."
"The band deeply apologizes to their fans and hope to reschedule their shoes in these cities soon," the statement read.
This was confirmed by the show's organizers Worldwide Bomb and Saga Events.
However, the band's scheduled concert in Australia will push through.
Their Manila concert was set at the Mall of Asia, with ABS-CBN as a media partner.
Refunds
A TicketWorld representative called up by abs-cbnNEWS.com said those who bought tickets, ranging in price from P550 to P5,550, can proceed to the booth where they purchased concert tickets for refunds.
At the time, TicketWorld was reportedly unaware of definite plans to cancel The Killers Show.
A representative from TicketNet, meanwhile, said they have not received advisories about The Killers concert refunds.
Usually, however, TicketNet reportedly advises its customers to refund tickets for cancelled shows at the Yellow Gate in Araneta, Cubao.
"The Killers" is an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada. Formed in 2002, the group are heavily influenced by 1980s rock music.
The band is composed of vocalist and keyboardist Brandon Flowers, vocalist and guitarist Dave Keuning, bassist Mark Stoermer and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. on drums.
They are best known for the songs "Mr. Brightside" and "Tranquilize."
