MANILA, Philippines – After opening stores of the Australian brand Cotton On in the Philippines last year, Suyen Corp., the company behind the popular apparel brand Bench, is bringing in another international brand as it expands its presence in the country's fashion and retail industry.

On Wednesday, Bench announced on its social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter that the American brand American Eagle will open branches in the country soon.

"Live your life! America's favorite denim brand American Eagle will soar in Manila soon,” Bench said.

TIt didn’t provide further details.

The listed American Eagle Outfitters is an American clothing and accessories retailer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1977, the brand targets 15- to 25-year-old males and females.

American Eagle first opened outside the United States with a store in Canada in 2000. Today, it has stores in the Middle East, as well as Russia, Poland, China and Hong Kong.

On its Facebook page, American Eagle Outfitters said the brand “is the crossroads where American prep meets current fashion. While our heritage is based in denim, we also offer other high-quality, on-trend clothing and accessories at affordable prices. American Eagle style is eternal.”

Over the years, Suyen has brought several foreign brands to the country such as La Senza, Aldo, Charles and Keith and The Face Shop.

Meanwhile, Bench also announced on social media that it has already launched its summer campaign ads.

“Benchsetters! Are you guys ready for Summer?” Bench said on Twitter.

“And our Summer campaign ads are out! Share photos when you see one. Don't forget to include #BenchSummerBreak,” it added.
