MANILA, Philippines - Months after floodwaters inundated the high-end hotel on the shores of Manila Bay, Sofitel Philippine Plaza proudly launched its new collection of luxury suites.

The 6,200-square foot residential concept is called The Imperial Residence, and was designed by world-renowned Spin Design Studio of Japan. It is composed of four Luxury Millesime rooms and an Imperial Suite, which boasts of elegant living spaces, a kitchen, a dining room, state-of-the-art bath facilities and an outdoor living area overlooking the Manila Bay.

Sofitel said guests may choose any room from the collection, book the entire residence, or convert any room to a gym, spa or office according to their unique requirements.

They may also enjoy a number of privileges, such as a VIP welcome at the airport, round trip limousine transfers, an exclusive butler and personal shopper, and Hermes bath amenities.

"We are very proud to introduce The Imperial Residences to the market. It is the epitome of luxurious indulgence and fine living, and there is simply nothing like it. In the past, these spaces have served as home to some of the world's most illustrious personalities and we continue to provide the very best products and services for our most discerning guests," Sofitel general manager Goran Aleks said in a statement.

Last year, Aleks said Sofitel's buffet restaurant, Spiral, will be "reconceived" after it was submerged in knee-deep waters due to typhoon Pedring.

He said it is expected to be launched in the first half of 2012.

"Spiral has been an iconic dining destination in the market since it opened in 2006. This now gives us the chance to offer the next generation an even more exciting dining experience, employing the latest concepts, styles and techniques," he said.
