MANILA, Philippines - A huge chunky ring made by Filipino designer Joyce Makitalo has landed on the hand of American pop singer Katy Perry, who recently had a concert in the country.
Perry wore the ring at the 2012 Inaugural National Football League Honors and pre-Super Bowl XLVI party in Indianapolis last week.
"Fun new ring!" she said on Twitter, posting a photo of the ring, which nearly covered her fingers.
Perry's ring is called the Shrine Handring, and is part of Makitalo's "Non-Saint" collection.
After seeing her creation on Perry's hand, Makitalo said on Twitter: "Still stunned! @loraleesoong just gifted Katy Perry w/ the Shrine Handring after Katy saw her wearing my other ring and loved it! Pure luck!"
Makitalo's currently has five shops and a showroom in Makati City. Her work has been featured in international publications such as US Vogue, Oprah and Marie Claire.
