MANILA – Two properties in the Philippines are included in a website’s list of “amazing hotels you need to visit before you die.”
My Science Academy, which describes itself as an “educational science” website, noted how “everyone will find something interesting” in their list of top hotels, which include Dedon Island Resort in Siargao and Villa Escudero in Laguna.
The website showed the Waterfalls Restaurant of Villa Escudero, where diners can enjoy a meal with the sparkling waterfalls as a backdrop.
Meanwhile, a number of photos showed the natural beauty of Dedon Island.
Topping My Science Academy’s list of “amazing” hotels is Ascher Cliff in Switzerland, followed by Hotel Kakslauttanen in Finland, Ladera Resort in Saint Lucia, The Manta Resort in Zanzibar, Rayavadee Krabi in Thailand, Shangri-La Paris in France, Hotel Ristorante Grotta Palazzese Polignano a Mare in Italy, Conrad Maldives in Rangali Island, Panchoran Retreat and Hotel Ubud Hanging Gardens in Indonesia.
Other hotels included in the list are Attrap Reves Hotel in France, Katikies Hotel-Oia in Greece, Hotel Le Sirenuse in Italy, Ice Hotel in Sweden, The Cambrian and Hotel-Restaurant Oschinensee in Switzerland, Astarte Hotels in Greece and Montana Magica Lodge in Chile.
Last month, three hotels in the Philippines were recognized in the 2014 Travelers’ Choice Awards of TripAdvisor, a popular travel ratings website.
Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa in Cebu and Discovery Shores in Boracay were included in the Top 25 Hotels for Families – Asia.
Greenhouse in General Luna, Siargao island made it to TripAdvisor’s Top 25 B&Bs (bed and breakfast) and inns in Asia.
