Ticket fury: Pricey Aerosmith tickets cause 'palpitations'
MANILA, Philippines – Prices of tickets to the much awaited Manila concert of the American rock band Aerosmith were released online by SM Tickets on Thursday night, generating buzz in social media.
Several Filipinos took to the microblogging site Twitter to express their frustration over the ticket prices, which start at P2,600 each for General Admission seats.
Upper Box seats are priced at P5,700 each, while Lower Box tickets cost P12,500 to P15,500 each.
Tickets to VIP seats, meanwhile, range from P15,500 to P20,000 each.
“The ticket prices for Aerosmith is too damn high!” said Twitter user Jessica Milner.
“Dear Aerosmith, do you know that the Philippines is a third world country? Your ticket prices are absurd!” said Christine Lavina.
“Friday morning heart attack cause of Aerosmith ticket prices,” said Viva Gonzalez.
“Ticket prices for the Aerosmith concert: Crazy. Gen Ad is P2,600 already! Start selling your stuff! Glad I’m not that much of a fan,” said Mac Evangelista.
Tickets to the Aerosmith concert are slightly more expensive than the ones sold during Jennifer Lopez’ show in November last year.
Save for the VIP seats which are priced at nearly P26,000 each, the rest of the tickets to J.Lo’s concert cost from P2,590 (General Admission) to P18,610 (Patron).
Filipino fans rejoiced early this week after Aerosmith officially added Manila to its tour schedule for the next couple of months.
The American rock band led by former “American Idol” judge Steven Tyler will perform at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on May 8.
