LOOK: Mai Mai Cojuangco makes a comeback
MANILA – Socialite Mai Mai Cojuangco, known to many as the sister of former actress Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworski, makes a comeback as she shaves part of her head for a men’s magazine.
Cojuangco appears on the cover of the March 2014 issue of Esquire Philippines, which referred to her as the “elusive 90s It Girl.”
She is seen wearing a white polo, with her ponytail drawing attention to the shaved part of her head.
“[Mai Mai] was the image of poise, class and elegance, impervious to wayward fashion trends and always maintaining a polite distance like only the truly stylish ever manage.
"She was that being who is all forgotten today: an It Girl who never hankered or claimed the title, in a decade when it was all hers for the taking,” wrote Esquire Philippines editor-in-chief Erwin Romulo.
Cojuangco is one of the five daughters of former politicians Peping and Tingting Cojuangco, along with Mikee, Pia, Liaa and China, who married chef Gino Gonzalez last year.
