MANILA, Philippines - Around 90% of teenagers have occassional acne breakouts. But they are not the only ones complaining.

People up to the age of 40 get them too.

Acne problems, which may damage self-esteem and cause anxiety and frustration, have been linked to hormonal changes in puberty, pregnancy and stress. Cosmetics are also seen as another culprit.

While there is no magical cure, most studies in the past have suggested that finding the right mix of medicated soaps and creams can reduce acne.

A lifestyle change is also helpful.

Doctors say a well-balanced diet, lots of water, regular exercise, adequate sleep, proper hygiene and reduced stress are vital to a healthy, clear skin.

Maybe teens complain about it because they are in the stage that they have their first love and adult people are already got used to acne. Adults have the money to treat it while teens are still asking what are acne remedies.

The most important skin

The most important skin problem among men and women is that of stress related acne problems. These arise due to excessive stressful conditions mostly in the later ages of your life. Most of men and women think that they have just left their acne problems with their age behind in the teenage years. But the fact remains the same that if you are living in more stressful conditions there are higher chances of acne problems affecting you. Acne and other common skin problems can be therefore effectively controlled if you control your stress and anger.
