Hundreds of visitors as well as residents feasted on oysters during the "Kisi-kisi festival" held in Ilog municipality in Negros Occidental province on Tuesday.

The highlight of the festival was a truckload of fresh oysters which visitors sampled for free. First-time visitors said the fresh oysters made the trip worth it.

Ilog Mayor Joyce Alvarez said they offer more than just oysters, adding that visitors can have their pick of other fresh seafood products.

Alvarez explained that "Kisi-kisi" is a Hiligaynon term which describes the movement of crustaceans like shrimps, prawns, and crabs.

Aside from the eat-all-you-can oyster feast, tourists were entertained by a streetdancing competition and a parade of floats which paid tribute to the town's rich marine resources.
