MANILA, Philippines – After its much talked about $1-million grand launch last month, the newest resort and gaming complex in Pagcor’s Entertainment City plans to accomplish even bigger things in the coming years.
Solaire’s chief operating officer, Michael French, said the luxurious property will soon be home to 300 suites, a big shopping area featuring designer brands, a Broadway-style theater of 1,800 seats and a nightclub, among others.
“We’ve already spent $750 million for Phase 1,” French told journalists and bloggers during the media preview held last March. “And we’ll be spending $450 million for Phase 2…it should open in the third quarter next year.”
“So those two added together, we have a full, integrated resort,” he added.
Located near SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City and set against the backdrop of the scenic Manila Bay, Solaire offers a mix of Las Vegas- and Macau-style casinos to cater to different types of gamers. Those who are not into gambling can dine at its seven restaurants or hang out at its three bars and lounges, which are all headed by world-class chefs.
The spacious property is also home to 488 guest rooms and suites at 87 to 165 square meters.
