Pinoys join the Gwiyomi Internet video craze
MANILA, Philippines - A new Internet viral video featuring a K-pop song has caught fire among Pinoy netizens.
The Gwiyomi song is a Korean music single spreading through viral videos. It was released on February 18, 2013 by K-pop indie singer Hari.

The single has no official music video because it was released as an independent digital single in Korea. But the song went viral after Jung II Hoon of K-pop group BTOB uploaded a version a few days after Hari's release.

According to reports, Gwiyomi literally means "cute spoon" in Korean. Many netizens have coined it as a "cutie song."
The song feels like a nursery rhyme for cute girls. It's a bit too cheesy for my taste, but I think they could use this viral video to spread positive vibes of peace and cuteness in North Korea amid the security crisis on the Korean Peninsula.
Fans and netizens have said that the Gwiyomi viral video dance craze could overtake the recent “Harlem Shake” in viral popularity. Let's see.
