MANILA, Philippines - Crocs, a brand that got famous for its comfortable clogs with holes, has played up its designs in its latest spring/summer collection.

Still made from its trademark Croslite material, Crocs' new additions come in brighter colors, dainty prints and safer styles. This may be the company's first step in its plan to go past its "quirky clog" image by offering pairs that look more like regular footwear.

Among Crocs' latest creations are the MODI flips and clogs, Crosstrail clogs, Tully clogs and McCall flats, which the company promised will "fuse comfort and style seamlessly." Prices range from P1,800 to P2,450 per pair.

A safe choice. These casual pieces promise both style and comfort.

"With the wide array of charming styles accompanied by supreme comfort, Crocs gets you ready to feel good and live the joyous seasonal spirit this summer," Crocs said.

Crocs was first introduced in 2002 as comfortable clogs with holes. The shoes became a huge hit in the Philippines and several parts of the globe, but the look didn't sit well with some fashion-conscious individuals.

Because of this, Crocs eventually branched out to offering a variety of styles as well as flip flops and phone accessories.
