MANILA - Lani Misalucha gives a fresh take on OPM classics in her first studio album in six years, "The Nightingale Returns," which is also her first under Star Records.

The 12-track album, which is now available in record bars and online, includes the carrier single "Muli," and Misalucha's collaboration with Journey frontman Arnel Pineda in "Maging Sino Ka Man."

Misalucha's rendition of "May Bukas Pa" also features local talents Angeline Quinto, KZ Tandingan, and Yeng Constantino.

The other tracks in "The Nightingale Returns," Misalucha's 8th studio album since 1997, are her revivals of "Anak," "Paano," "Ikaw Lamang," "Pangako Sa'yo," "Saan Darating Ang Umaga," "Bulag, Pipi at Bingi," "Gaano Kadalas Ang Minsan," and "Tayong Dalawa."

The 44-year-old singer's rendition of "Starting Over Again," the theme song of the blockbuster film by Star Cinema, is also included in the album.

Misalucha is set to launch "The Nightingale Returns" on May 4 at Eastwood in Quezon City, with promotional tours from May 10 to 22 at different venues.
