Crocs preps up shoes for FIFA World Cup
MANILA, Philippines - Crocs is set to unveil 11 new styles patterned after national soccer teams in preparation for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa next month.
Riding on the success of the retro hit Crocband Collection, the Crocband Nation Collection features the following national team styles: Argentina, Australia, Italy, Korea, Brazil, Germany, South Africa, Spain, United States, France and England.
Still made from its trademark Croslite material, Crocs' new additions come in bright colors and sneaker-inspired designs. Available in men's and women's sizes, each pair will be priced at P2,350.

"The Crocband Nation Collection lets you show your team colors in complete comfort while cheering your team to victory in the world's biggest soccer competition," Crocs said.
Crocs was first introduced in 2002 as comfortable clogs with holes. The shoes became a huge hit in the Philippines and in several parts of the globe, but the look didn't sit well with some fashion-conscious individuals.
Because of this, Crocs eventually branched out to offering a variety of styles as well as flip flops and phone accessories. Last month, the brand unveiled pairs that looked more like regular footwear.
