You don't need a ticket to Europe to enjoy British pies, German sausages, Spanish tapas, French pastries and fine European wine. Instead, why not just buy a ticket worth P50 and buy yourself a European food feast right in Manila.

The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines in partnership with the British, French, German, and Spanish chambers are bringing these treats to the Philippines via the country's first European Food and Wine festival this weekend (May 16) at the Rockwell tent in Makati. The event will run for two days and will start at 10:30 a.m.

Those heading out for a gastronomic adventure will be treated to the best European cuisine courtesy of 33 participating restaurants, hotels, and distributors including Europro Food Products, CIBO, Le Souffle, Le Cuisine Francaise, Wine Depot, and several upscale hotels like The Peninsula Manila, Dusit Thani, and Intercontinental Manila.

Wine expert Sherwin Lao will also hold a seminar to help visitors become wine connoisseurs in their own right. Business-minded guests, meanwhile, can drop by the European National Chambers Networking Night to find out how to conduct business in Europe and to explore business opportunities there. This will be led by European Union Ambassador Alistair Macdonald and other top officials from European chambers of commerce. Report from Mornings @ ANC.
