MANILA, Philippines - Going to Hong Kong this month? The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) listed 5 "thrilling" events that visitors can take part in, from dragon boat carnivals to interactive water playgrounds.
"Summer is one of the most exciting and fun-filled seasons in Hong Kong," HKTB said in a statement.
In Hong Kong, summer starts in June and ends in August.
Here is HKTB's list of activities for tourists this June:
1. Chinese Opera Festival
To be held from June 3 to July 24, it will showcase 7 theatrical genres of Chinese traditional theater performed by famous artists and groups.
The 7 genres include Peking opera, Kunqu opera, Cantonese opera, Chiu Chow opera, Pingtan narrative singing and 2 ancient indigenous forms: Qi opera and Gaojia opera.
2. Disney in Concert
A rerun of the 2009 concert, it will feature orchestral selections from Walt Disney Classics. The event will run from June 3 to 6.
3. Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival
Dubbed as the city's premier event, it will feature the Sa Sa 2011 Hong Kong International Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races as well as live entertainment. It will be held from June 17 to June 19.

4. Hong Kong Disneyland Summer Fun
From June 10 to August 31, Disney characters will meet visitors of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
5. Ocean Park Summer Splash 2011
Ocean Park is set to unveil its all-new themed area, the Rainforest, where visitors get to battle river rapids and meet exotic animals.
