MANILA - It won't just keep your feet stink-free, but it promises to help you recover from athletic injuries too.

The Crocs Prepair collection, with "croslite Ag" material and nano-silver technology, is the newest addition to the brand's line of pastel-coloured, oddly-shaped, but immensely comfortable footwear.

The Prepair set - available in flip-flop, slide, and clogs designs - reportedly vary from other traditional Crocs shoes because they provide more arch support for the feet and thus reduce muscle fatigue.

Tagged as "recovery shoes", they also come fitted with the Croslite Ag footbed, which helps distribute pressure along the foot evenly, slightly decreasing the need for muscular exertion and relieves strain. The shoes are meant to be worn before and after major athletic competitions.

Chris Aretz, who joined the Bolder Boulder Marathon in Colorado, said his Prepair Slide shoes are both ergonomic and stylish. "Immediately upon putting the Slide on, all of my foot discomfort went away. They hold true to their word in the energy return, support and cushioning - all crucial to quick recovery. In addition to the recovery qualities, they are also a great looking sandal," he said in a statement.

Fast becoming a favorite among runners, the launch of the Prepair collection is in line with Crocs Inc.'s business strategy to diversify and target specific markets, especially athletes and sports enthusiasts.

Crocs Prepair products for men and women are priced at P2,500 for the clog design, P2,350 for the slide design, and P2,350 for the thong slipper design. They are reportedly available at all Crocs concept stores nationwide.
