Aleah Angeles exhibits escapist women paintings
MANILA, Philippines -- In an exhibit dubbed "Escapism", figurative artist Aleah Angeles shows off paintings of how some women escape--by treading the gray area between daydreams and fantasies, and by being introspective, almost aloof and lonely while divorced from the everyday chaos of this world.

Angeles, who won third place in the Pagalingan Pinay art competition, is also the first-ever grand champion (student category) of the Figurative Art on Canvas competition.
Her works show the precocity and discipline she puts into her art.

Even at this early stage in her career, Angeles is already building a following. Already, a large canvas of hers entitled "Resting Place" has been acquired by media anchor and art collector Julius Babao.
