Asiana Airlines increases US trip options for Pinoys
MANILA, Philippines - Asiana Airlines (OZ) is increasing flights to Honolulu and Seattle in time for the US summer travel season, which Filipino travelers can take advantage of.
The Korean carrier will begin flying daily from its hub in Incheon International Airport to Honolulu and Seattle starting July 10.
From two a week for Incheon-Honolulu, and fivea week for Incheon-Seattle, flights by Asiana will increase to seven times a week for both routes using the Airbus A330, which seats 275 passengers.
Asiana currently flies out of three points in the Philippines -- Manila, Clark and Cebu -- to Incheon International Airport.
From Incheon, travelers can fly Asiana to the US, Europe and Asia.
The following are the flight schedules of Asiana to the US:
- For the Incheon-Honolulu route, the flight departs at 8 p.m. and arrives in Honolulu at 10:10 a.m. on the same day.
- Return flights from Honolulu depart at 11:40 a.m. and arrive in Incheon at 4:20 p.m. the following day.
- Incheon-Seattle passengers depart at 6:40 p.m. and arrive in Seattle at 1:00 p.m. on the same day.
- Departure from Seattle is at 2:30 p.m. arriving in Incheon at 6:00 p.m. the following day.
Asiana said "the expansion stems from the US visa waiver program for Korean citizens, and the rise in summer travellers to the US."
Asiana also flies to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago and New York from Incheon.
